Young Rumanian artist, living in Belgium since 1999. Graduate of the Photography
department of the INRACI, Brussels, year 2005.
In this first individual thematic exhibition, she opens the gates of her visual
universe to the public : her passion for abstract art that fascinates her because
of the endless interpretation possibilities.
Her photography results from the ingenious observation of substances, and specially
of their textures, describing them as a mixture of forms and lines within a
natural -not always chaotic- geometry.
She captures tiny texture parts on black and white film. Then using her imagination
and sensitivity, she analyses her negative to perceive the hidden image that
she makes re-appear while adding colours.
In this series on exhibition, called « IMAG-IN 2 », the imaginary
unexpectedly takes the place of reality, yet leaving it up to the spectator
which part (s)he wants to consider.
